Progress stays in your browser
Your 30-day challenge progress — completed days, streak, and optional reflections — is stored only in this device's browser storage (localStorage). It never leaves your device, and it does not sync across devices or browsers. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your progress will not carry over.
Optional email reminders
If you choose to sign up, we use the first name and email you provide only to send Roots Before Reels challenge reminders. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any reminder email. We do not automatically enroll you in unrelated marketing.
What we never collect
We never ask for or store FamilySearch usernames or passwords, ordinance details, or private family-tree information. Every FamilySearch activity links to the official FamilySearch website — sign in there, not here.
No official affiliation
Roots Before Reels is an independent family history encouragement project. It is not an official product of FamilySearch or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
